Agree finished floor levels before ordering
Give the installer the intended floor build-up and the sequence of flooring work. Record which dimensions are provisional and who will confirm them. New floor finishes can change clearances, so do not order solely from a rough opening measurement or assume that trimming on site is automatically permitted.

If new flooring or joinery is planned, make the door arrangement part of the refurbishment brief before finishes are fixed. Identify which frames may remain and which openings are changing. A preferred appearance can guide product selection, but it does not show that an existing frame is compatible.
